The improvement in web indexing mechanism for rotary vacuum forming continuous motion blister packing machines includes providing a cavity in the sprocket adapted to be rotated by drive of the machine and a crank lever there within, which rotatable with the sprocket. A sliding plate assembly slidable on guides or rails, secured to a shaft emerging from a longitudinal slot, and displaceable there within. An indexing ratchet rigidly secured with the shaft. An adjustable throw setter, one end flexibly connected to the crank lever, through a crank fixing means, and the other end rigidly secured to the ratchet, such that rotation of the sprocket rotates the crank lever, thereby driving the sliding plate assembly to and for, within the guides or rails providing the required throw length for the substrate to be punched for perforation or cutting.
