The relay comprises base blocks (B11-B66) each with a cascade relay of at least one analogue to digital (A/D) converter and at least one digital to analogue (D/A) converter, an analogue input and an analogue and digital output. One or more analogue inputs and outputs in different blocks are connected to each other via switch connections. The digital outputs in the blocks are combined by a digital combination relay to form a digital output for the conversion relay.
