The aid is for removal of a stocking, particularly an elastic stocking, and as at least one ring-shaped internal component (10) fits around the leg and around the internal component so that the folded-over upper edge of the stocking can be clamped between the inner and outer components. A mainly ring-shaped outer component (30) fits around the leg and the internal component. The ring-shaped inner component is not completely closed but extends outwards at an angle less than 360 degrees. Likewise, the ring-shaped outer component is not fully closed and extends outwards at an angle less than 360 degrees.
