The accumulating piece good conveyor involves a sliding product support with displacemetn pressure limited by a friction or slip mechanism with the pick-up position occurring in the return part of the drive medium. The piece goods are slidingly supported by stationary support components (3) comprising plates, strips, tubes which do not rotate or displace. The piece goods or products have to have a solid base. Under the products is a drive medium (2) in the form of a belt, pulley, chain, cord. The drive medium is driven on the head side (6) of the conveyor and turned to the start side (5). On the drive medium, one or more pick-ups (1) are fixed which collect the products and push them over the stationary support components. The pick-ups can comprise brushes, flaps, rollers, rollers with friction components whether or not provided with rubber covers, sprung pick-ups, hooks, etc.
