LIGHT WATER CONSTRUCTION WORK FOR THE PROTECTION AND REHABILITATION OF MARINE BEACHES

The invention relates to a light water construction work for the protection and rehabilitation of marine beaches. According to the invention, the water construction work is made up of a submerged wall (P) which is rigid and sand-proof and is embedded in the sea bottom, being made of piling (1) or plates (4) mounted between pillars (3) and allowing the overfall of high sea waves with silt content, diminishing the beach erosion process and favouring the sand retention in the vicinity of the shore. The planar arrangement of the submerged wall is made so that, at the selected bathymetric contour, it forms together with the shore, a closed enclosure to prevent the sand to be entrained to the high sea by the retracting waves or sea streams.
