The hemisulphate salt of (1S,4R)-cis-4-[2-amino-6- (cyclopropylamino)-9H-purin-9-yl]-2-cyclopentene-1-methanol or a solvate thereof are described. Also a method of its preparation and starting compounds are described. The mentioned salt is useful in medicine, particular in the treatment of viral infections.
