Method for arrangement of underground reservoir in rock salt massif includes operations of well penetration to designed depth, with fresh water supply to it and with following pumping-out of brine from the well till formation of underground reservoir with needed volume. After penetration of well to designed depth one determined thickness of different stages of the layer, at that the values of solvability characteristics for fresh water in each stage at vertical axis are close, and amount and productivity of fresh water supply to the well and time of its soaking to obtain needed configuration of prescribed section of cavity of future underground reservoir are set for each stage separately, depending on characteristics of solvability for each stage of the layer to which fresh water is supplied.
