摘要

The method for draining the ventricular system of brain in the acute hypertension-and-hydrocephalic syndrome consists in cutting the trepanation window in the temporoparietal area, 10x15 cm in size. When the brain prolapse persists, and the acute hypertension-and-hydrocephalic syndrome is diagnosed in computed tomograms preoperatively, the prolapsed region of the brain is drained in the projection of the inferior horn of the lateral ventricle within the least significant area of the cortex. This technique allows for the safe draining of the lateral ventricle even in the extensive dislocation of brain structures and the deformity of the ventricular system of brain.
