A soil-cultivation unit for mulching plant and stubble remains contains a frame with a drum, placed thereon, with a horizontal rotational axis, on the generator cylindrical axis of which working knives, a drive of the drum into rotation are arranged along the screw line. The unit is provided with an additional drum with working knives and a horizontal rotational axis, connected with a drive and with the first drum with the aid of a chain-drive. The working knives on the first drum are made as L-like removable plates, a bent part of which has strengthened and double-side sharpening of the cutting edges, and knives on the additional drum are made as flat ones as rectilinear plates with sharpening and strengthening of the cutting edges or without them. The working L-like knives on the first drum are immovably attached thereto, and working flat knives on the additional drum are hingedly attached thereto. On the rear transversal beam of the frame a comb is arranged, which is made as a set of vertical bent plates, the distance between which corresponds to the maximum permissible dimensionsof comminuted remains of plant origin. The distance between the comb and the additional drum is chosen such that flat knives of the second additional drum could enter in gaps between bent plates of the comb. The lower edges of the vertical bent plates the combs are at the same level as cutting edges of L-like rotary knives.
