Basic fibroblast growth factor with a specific collagen binding domain. The present invention describes the genetic design and large-scale expression in Escherichia coli of a basic fibroblast growth factor, with a specific binding domain to collagen, as well as its purification and renaturation until reaching its biological activity. The main characteristic of this factor is the incorporation of a modified amino acid auxiliary domain, with a high affinity for specific binding to collagen, which allows its storage for long periods and allows it to be directed to specific places where its performance is required, controlling its release and preserving its biostability.
