The recuperation of germanium in solution by activated carbon has an organic compound generating a germanium complex for adsorption by activated carbon, under controlled conditions. Acid destruction of the germanium complex then desorbs the germanium from the surface of the active surface, giving rapid simplified concentration of the germanium.
