The invention relates to a macromolecular material with ionic conduction. The material comprises a linear or branched or combed, possibly crosslinked, which carries ionic substituents; the ionic substituents are derived by reaction of the group Y, ionic monomers corresponding to the formula (I) M [Y- {O- (CHR) p- (CH2) q} nC (SO2R F) 2] m in which M is a cation of valence m; R F is a linear or branched perfluoroalkyl radical having 1 to 8 carbon atoms; R is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl radical having 1 to 4 carbon atoms; Y is an allyl, glycidyl, vinylbenzyl, acryloyl or methacryloyl group or a hydrogen atom; 0.ltoreq.n.ltoreq.40, 1.ltoreq.p + q.ltoreq.4; if n = 0, Y is an allyl or glycidyl or vinylbenzyl group. Use of the material as electrolyte in a rechargeable battery or as a binder in a composite electrode.
