USE OF THIOFLAVIN RADIOLABELLED DERIVATIVES IN AMYLOID IMAGING FOR IDENTIFYING PATIENTS PRODROMAL TO A DISEASE ASSOCIATED WITH AMYLOID DEPOSITION

The present method for determining the efficacy of therapy in the treatment ofamyloidosis involves administering to a patient in need thereof a compound offormula (I) orFormula (II) or structures 1-45 and imaging the patient. After said imaging,at least one anti-amyloidagent is administered to said patient. Then, an effective amount of a compoundofformula (I) or Formula (II) or structures 1-45 is administered to the patientand the patient isimaged again. Finally, baseline levels of amyloid deposition in the patientbefore treatment withthe anti-amyloid agent are compared with levels of amyloid deposition in thepatient followingtreatment with the anti-amyloid agent.
