The invention relates to a fibre-optic sensor head (2) for an optical current or magnetic field sensor (1), comprising an optical fibre that contains a magnetooptically active sensor fibre (3), which is connected to at least one element (4; 5) that defines the polarisation, said sensor fibre (3) being installed in a magnetic field that is to be measured or around a conductor (L) that carries the current to be measured in the form of a coil (8). It has been discovered that the angle or angles (ß, ß') influence the calibration of the sensor. The adjusting element (10) preferably contains a carrier body (11), to which the element (4; 5) that defines the polarisation is fixed. The carrier body (11) can predefine the angle or angles (ß, ß'). Markings (9a, 9b) are used to ensure that the coil (8) has a whole number of windings.
