A method of displaying content using a terminal having a restricted size screen and the terminal therefor are disclosed. According to the present invention, in a method of displaying content including a predetermined screen layout on the restricted size screen of a mobile terminal, such as a mobile phone or PDA, the area of partial content corresponding to the size of the screen in overall content having a screen layout to be played on the terminal is displayed on the screen of the terminal, the movement displacement of the terminal in a 3-dimensional space, by which the user moves the terminal to view an area other than the displayed content area in the overall content, is detected, and the area of some other partial content, placed to correspond to the detected displacement, in the overall content is displayed on the screen of the terminal.
