摘要

The present teachings relate to the diagnosis of VHL and sporadic renal cell carcinoma and other VHL and sporadic counterpart tumors by detecting the co-expression of EPO and EPO receptors in such tumor and cyst tissues obtained from patients, particularly from patients with VHL disease or patients at risk for developing VHL disease. The present teachings also relate to the treatment of patients with such tumors, cysts and non-tumor lesions.
