摘要

The present invention relates to the short neuropeptide F isolated from Drosophila melanogaster which is involved in regulating feeding behavior. More specifically, the present invention relates to the Drosophila short neuropeptide F regulating feeding behavior and the gene encoding the protein, wherein the protein has an activity similar to that of the neuropeptide Y of mammals, while being able to isolate target genes thus enabling to perform in vivo studies of the relevant genes thereby being able to serve as a model for identifying the mechanism of feeding behavior in animals.
