The method for control of wet clutches entails determining whether a viscosity of clutch fluid lies above a predetermined threshold and, if it does, adjusting the clutch/transmission control with regard to a normal operation in such a way that additional clutch energy is transmitted to the clutch fluid which is consequently heated. After this stage of the method, a check is made of whether the viscosity of the clutch fluid still lies above the threshold value, and when it falls below, reverting to the clutch-transmission control for normal operation.
