System and method for avoiding address conflicts between servers with the same private address in home and visited network

A local network connecting system includes a first local network (100), a second local network (200), a Mobile terminal (1). The first local network (100) comprises a gateway (2) and a first server (6) assigned with a first local address. The second local network (200) comprises a second server (7). The Mobile terminal (1) is connected to the second server via a VPN -"Virtual Private Network"- through the first local network. The gateway provides mapping of local addresses for a terminal connected to the first local network (100). When a packet is sent to the first server from the Mobile terminal (1), the Mobile terminal (1) uses a second local address unused in the VPN and the second network as destination address of the packet instead of the first local address, and transmits the packet to the gateway (2). The gateway (2) translates the second local address into the first local address as destination address of the packet, and transmits the packet to the first server based on the translated destination.
