PURPOSE: A promoter with gene polymorphism connected with interleukin 1 beta associated diseases is provided, thereby effectively diagnosing possibility of contraction or attack of the interleukin 1 beta(IL-1B) associated diseases. CONSTITUTION: The promoter which is useful for diagnosis of possibility of contraction of Oriental people's interleukin 1 beta associated inflammatory diseases comprises 20 to 100 consecutive nucleotides containing 251st nucleotides in the nucleotide sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO:1, wherein the promoter has at least one selected from the nucleotide sequences of SEQ ID NO: 2 to SEQ ID NO:4; and the interleukin 1 beta associated inflammatory disease is selected from stomach cancer, ovarian cancer, graft rejection, pregnancy toxemia, Parkinson's disease, diabetes, kidney disease, inflammatory bowel disease, arthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Preeclampsia.
