The calibration unit has a base plate (12) and a calibration module (24) including characterization function and arranged on the base plate. A focusing unit (20) is integrated in the base plate and includes a focusing surface (22), which is aligned with the calibration module in a plane. The focusing unit adjusts a definite measurement beam focus of a luminescence measurement system to be calibrated for measurement of identically illuminated voxel on or within the calibration module.
