The present invention is ethyl nitrosourea (N - ethyl-N-nitrosourea , the ENU) cataracts by chemical mutagenesis (chemical mutagenesis) generated by using the rear lens cataracts mutant mouse having a phenotype that is related to the formation of a whitish ring around the shape of the protruding portion protrudes , cataract mutation according to the invention since the mice can be easily obtained by the process of ENU without complex genetic manipulation , have an existing cataract mutant mice with distinct phenotypes , cataract mutation is stably transmitted to future generations , depending on the chromosomal recessive genetic form , human studies of the pathogenesis of cataract and cataract in vivo for therapeutic development ( in vivo ) can be useful as a screening model animals .
