An integrated three-color sensor is sensitized with dielectric interference filters for different wavelengths. An analog circuit based color pre-processing unit transforms the RGB sensor signals into L99a99b99 color values corresponding to the DIN99 color space. An analog circuit based neuronal evaluation unit processes the color values using training or learning techniques. A detection unit determines the color class by maximum or minium detection. The sensor, pre-processing unit, evaluation unit and detection unit operate in a parallel, value-continuous and time-continuous manner. An independent claim is included for an integrated sensor-evaluation system.
