The catalyser fastening arrangement for an internal combustion engine has an engine block mounting for fastening to the engine, a catalyser mounting for fastening to a flange (5) on the catalyser (2), and means to connect the engine block mounting and catalyser mounting, whereby the catalyser mounting is constructed so that it can be fastened to the flange. The catalyser mounting has centering holes which are arranged so that the connecting screws (7) of the flange on the pipe section pass through the centering holes. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) an internal combustion engine with the aforesaid catalyser fastening arrangement; and (B) a motor vehicle with an internal combustion engine equipped with the proposed catalyser fastening arrangement.
