The method involves producing a light distributor from transparent plastic e.g. polymethyl methacrylate, polystyrene or polybutadiene. A pulsed laser beam is directed in x-direction which is shifted in y-direction and results in the formation of trough-shaped indentations in the y-direction. Formation of macrostructures and microstructures in the form of pores also takes place on the surface. An independent claim is also included for the light distributor.
