The device has a blowing air device that operates on a sheet (1), and an adjusting device for the blowing effect of the blowing air device. Lasers (11, 12) are provided, whose visually observable light beams (13, 14) are directed from different directions on the surface of the sheet, where one beam is transversely directed on the surface. The beams cut itself at a place in a desired height of the sheet above a guide (5).
