The hologram (14) may be bent in an arc of a circle. It focuses sunlight onto a target, especially a photovoltaic element, during the morning and afternoon. Light shines straight through at midday. The hologram has a transparent substrate (15), with successive layers on top, sensitized to red (16), green (17) and blue (18) light. The layers are exposed to coherent light to form diffraction pattern holograms to deflect red (HOE1), green (HOE2) and blue (HOE3) light.
