The element (13) has a convex outer surface (14) including an upper portion (15) above a horizontal plane (A-A) and a lower portion (16) below the plane. A transparent layer (18) is made of material distinct from material of the element and placed on a part of the upper portion, where the layer absorbs infrared rays (22) contained in sunlight. The layer includes a proportion of particles blocking a passage of the rays mixed with a resin i.e. polymer binder, where the particles are made of indium tin oxide and aluminium oxide. The layer has a thickness ranging between 0.01 mm and 0.5 mm. An independent claim is also included for a lighting and/or signalling device.
