Production of a metal cast part, especially made from an aluminum alloy, comprises pouring a casting metal into a mold having several cores made from at least two different core materials, quenching the cast part in a quenching liquid and separating the core material and the metal cast part. At least one of the core materials is made from a foundry sand bound using an inorganic binder.
