Raman spectrometer for e.g. identification of micro-organisms, chemical structures, genome-decode and sample screening

A Raman spectrometer has a laser source (1) directed to spectrometer optics (2), a grid (22), CCD array (23) and a Raman filter (21). The sample (31) under examination is placed directly in-line with the grid axis and is excited by the laser beam exactly in the plane of the grid virtual gap position. The laser beam variable-focus lens is chosen in accordance with the CCD array pixel size. The sample illumination is dependent upon the size of the CCD array.
