The arrangement has thermostat valves (11, 12) arranged one after another in a common housing (10). The valve (11) forms a main valve between a cooler-connection and a water pump-connection (15), and a cylinder head-bypass valve between the connection (15) and a cylinder head-connection (14). A bypass-valve unit of the bypass-valve forms an engine block control valve between the connection (15) and an engine-block connection. The cylinder head-connection and a cooler connection (16) are provided for coolants coming from a cylinder head and a coolant cooler, respectively. The water pump connection is provided for a coolant flowing to a water pump. The engine block control valve determines coolant amount flowing through an engine block.
