The control valve has two supply connections (2), where the former supply connection is arranged at a valve housing (1) for cooling water of a bypass cycle. The latter supply connection is provided for cooling water of a cooling cycle. A dynamically loaded sealing element (4) is provided for covering the coolant melt flow path in axial direction (a) or in radial direction (b). The sealing element is made of polytetrafluorethylene.
