Production of strong mechanical bonds between metallic parts having an unstable structure which on heating can be changed into a a structure of larger volume by means of a mechanical bonding agent (MBG). Prior to bonding with the bonding agent the parts are subjected to a temperature which at least partially increases the structure volume.
