Ureteral catheter designed as elastic tube, made of metal spiral with memory function

The device is made of a thin spiraled metal wire (1) and has two curved ends (2a, 2b) pointing in opposite directions, their shape saved in a memory. For inserting the catheter into the urethra with a pusher (8) a rigid element (9) is accommodated inside and removed after the device has reached its final destination. The windings of the wire are spread apart in an area (7) close to the outlet facilitating urine to be released into the bladder. The straight segment is sealed with a shrink cover (4).
