Gearbox (I) comprises: at least two occasionally transmission parts (a) present in contact, which is realized between at least a partial lubrication; a housing, in that the two (a) is present and which also serves to admit the solid powder-lubricant (b); a lubricant in the housing, which comprises at least (b); and one or more devices for the distribution of (b) at least on the surfaces of the contact areas of at least two (a). An independent claim is also included for the method of the lubrication of (I) comprising providing (b) into a transmission case interior, which comprises at least predominantly a solid powder, where the providing of (b) is realized before or during the period of operation, and by the devices for the distribution of the lubricant at least on the surfaces of the contact areas of at least two (a) of (b) is distributed completely or partly in the free area between (a) and housing interior and following the parts of (b) are deposited at least on the surface of the contact areas of at least two (a).
