Polyethylene molded mass (I) (having multimodular molar mass distribution, thickness of 0.94-0.950 g/cm3 at 23[deg]C and melt flow index 190/5 of 0.5-2.1 dg/minute) comprises 45-55 wt.% of low molecular ethylene homopolymers (A), 30-40 wt.% of high molecular copolymers (D) of ethylene and other 4-8C olefin and 10-20 wt.% of ultrahigh molecular ethylene copolymer (E). Independent claims are also included for: (1) the preparation of (I); and (2) an electrical or communication cable comprising an inner, electrically conducting metal core and an outer non electrically conducting covering made of (I), where the outer covering has a layer thickness of 0.2-3 cm.
