The module has an address converter (52) designed with an input to receive an address and an output to send another address in such a manner that the address in the output depends on the address in the input and numerical values stored in an address storage. An address bus (26) is connected with the output to transmit the output address. An address decoder (22, 42, 44) selects a memory cell which is assigned to the output address. An independent claim is also included for a method for selecting a memory cell from a set of memory cells.
