Quantitative property measurement excites and detects a nuclear or electron magnetic resonance only in the solid test substance containing part of the test vessel (18) and compares the signal with a reference sample. An independent claim is also included for equipment and test heads using the above measurement to measure the weight of samples carried on a transport unit.
