Phenyl ester compounds (I) are new. Phenyl ester compounds of formula (I) are new. R1H, 1-30C alkyl, 1-30C hydroxyalkyl; X : CN, -C(=O)-R1 or -C(=O)-OR1; Y1H or Ar, where Ar is benzene compound of formula (a); and R2-R6H, OH, 1-20C alkoxy, 1-20C alkyl, 3-20C alkenyl, 1-20C hydroxyalkyl (where the hydroxy group is bound to a primary or secondary carbon atom of the chain and the alkyl chain is interrupted by O), or 1-20C hydroxyalkoxy (where the hydroxy group is bounded at primary or secondary carbon atoms of the chain and the alkyl chain is interrupted by O), where one of R2-R6 is 1-20C alkoxy or 2-20C alkylenoxy-spacer, which is bound over Si-atom at oligo- or polysiloxane chain. Independent claims are included for: (1) a composition comprising (I) and at least one cosmetic or dermatological composition or household product suitable carrier; and (2) the preparation of (I).
