The interface has a screen with channels which share a constrained sampling parameter. The channels are associated with a signal set and are declared as belonging to groups. Another screen has an eye diagram measurement control that causes the measurement of eye diagrams of the channels. The latter screen has cursors positioned on the screen, where the cursors indicate recommended sampling parameters for each channel in the group. The latter screen has a group measurement selection mechanism that indicates whether the channels are to be measured for the production of the eye diagrams.
