The navigation system (1) has a proximity determination unit to determine that the actual position of the vehicle is within a particular range of the target destination. A partial route audio navigation provision unit collectively provides the navigation commands in acoustic form from the current position of the vehicle to the destination based on the determination made by the proximity determination unit.
