A method for correcting heat caused displacements comprises the steps of: setting of the coordinate data of a fixedly set position of the workpiece to be processed (5) on a table; finding a magnitude of the displacement of the fixedly set position of the workpiece to be processed (5) at a current cutting edges position, based on the detected temperature, the coordinate data of the cutting edges position and the coordinate data of the fixedly set position; calculating the difference in the coordinate data between the fixedly set position of the workpiece to be processed (5) and of the cutting edges position; finding a magnitude of the displacement of the workpiece to be processed (5) between its fixed position and the cutting edges position, based on the detected temperature and the difference in the coordinate data between the fixedly set position and the cutting edges position; and calculating a sum of each of the amount of the displacement, in order to determine an estimated value, and for correcting a thermally induced displacement with the use of a nc - unit (14), based on the estimated value.
