The arm/hand rest has a slide rail, which is guided along a backrest of a chair and is fastened at the patient`s bed. A circular rail is fastened at the headrest of the bed. A tube, at which a supporting surface of the arm/hand rest is provided, is inserted into an opening of a fastening block and is fixed in the block by corresponding screws. The arm/hand rest is made of metallic or synthetic material.
