The picture frame has a profile frame (10), in which a transparent front plate such as a covering glass and a rear wall are inserted. A mounting frame (15) is pressed into the profile frame in a force-fit and form fit manner, so that the mounting frame and the profile frame are merged with one another. A spacing strip is arranged between the front plate and the rear wall. The mounting frame is completely made of flexible material.
