The device (10) for the preparation of the Munich beer festival comprises a first flat element covered by a second flat element (14), whereby the second flat element has hinged sections (16) so that in the open state of these sections the sections of the first flat element which are hidden when the hinged sections of the second element are closed become visible. The hinged sections are inscribed at least partially with date details falling in September in a way in which the date details are visible in the non-hinged open state of the hinged sections. An independent claim is included for a container, with the aforesaid device fastened to the outer side like a label.
