The invention relates to a laboratory examination of a body fluid or tissue sample in which a quantitatively analytical detection of cis-hydroxyproline and the derivatives thereof is carried out. An analysis kit is provided which, using the HPLC method, is suited for determining the quantity of cis-hydroxyproline and derivatives thereof in the sample. Said analysis kit comprises HCl (10 M), NaOH (16 M), Na2CO3 (4 M), ortho-phthaldialdehyde, an aqueous phosphate buffer and dabsyl chloride.
