The method involves positioning and orienting electric cable (10) and an integrated circuit (32) in a reusable auxiliary tool (40), and connecting the cable and circuit by welding/ brazing in the tool (40). The cable and circuit are then sealed by molding a thermoplastic material (62) in an injection molding tool (56) to form a module that is withdrawn out of the tool (40) and is introduced in the tool (56) for the final molded sealing. An independent claim is also included for a device fabricating a mechanical and electrical connector that connects ends of parts such as an electric cable and an integrated circuit.
