The method involves forming an elastic band (1) and a gripping unit (2) by a single cutting operation on a band (3) made of an elastic material or a molding of an elastic material in a mold cavity. The gripping unit is formed by openings, forming handle, intended for slide pass of hand or leg. A body (1a) of the elastic band includes a section decreasing from ends to its center. An independent claim is also included for an extensor obtained by an extensor fabricating method.
