The method involves mounting a bar (10) on a lathe (1), and rotating the bar according to a determined speed (V-r), where the bar is made of amorphous metal such as precious metallic material or precious metallic alloy. A cutting unit (9) is applied on the bar, and is displaced along a translation relative to the bar with a determined feeding speed to produce a chip (11) forming an elastic unit. The chip is subjected to a chemical attack for polishing the chip and/or reducing section of the chip.
