The method involves performing a high level and low level management of reversible rotating machine (2) using a remote control unit (1). The control unit has hardware and resources and complex software resources. The control unit exchanges hardware information, through a set of wired connections (3), with a power module (20) integrated in or in immediate proximity to the rotating machine. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) poly-phased reversible rotating machine for motor vehicle coupled to a control unit that performs high and low level management of the machine (B) control unit for motor vehicle performs high and low level management of the poly-phased reversible rotating machine.
